Double glazed front door not shutting properly

by routley1 » Sun Apr 22, 2012 5:58 pm

My double glazed front door is not shutting properly, when the door is pushed shut it it latches but does not close fully allowing me to get my fingers between the mating faces also I can rock the door at 5mm in this state and sometimes it doesn't even latch at all. The only way to close the gap is to lift the handle up as if to lock the door.

Any ideas on how I can sort this out?

routley1,
This is fairly standard with multi-point locking. You need to adjust the striker plate where the tongue of the lock locates. This is the lump that sticks out when the door is open.
