Double Glazing Discount for Cash Payments? - Help Wanted

by malcy_boi » Wed Jan 29, 2014 11:08 am

I realise this is a DIY forum so probably the wrong place, but can't find anywhere else to post such a question.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with Albion Windows and Conservatories of Croydon/Surrey?

We're paying in cash and were wondering if anyone has been offered any discount incentives for paying upfront in cash, instead of taking out the loan?

Any help or experience would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

We have never come across them personally, but I have looked them up on Checkatrade and they seem a pretty reliable:

You should be able to get a good deal if you have cash, although don't be tempted to paying cash to avoid VAT as this will not help you in the long run and is illegal. I doubt that Albion are the sort of company that would entertain this anyway. Here are some tips about getting quotes and prices which you might find helpful:

If you need it, we also have a free contract that you can download to protect you and the tradesman. There are some fantastic accompanying notes that will help you understand how to get a great working relationship with tradesmen and contractors that you employ: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/building-contracts/
