I have done a lot of look into that area.pilkington and other glass makers have special glass ie leminated or planitherm which are very expensive.i went to local window making company we always use says we are always asked by people to make glass unit 10 mm+6 mm inside for sound proofing.do not know which is going to work.

have you considered argon gas filled units with low E glass it may be a cheaper option
