Hi All,

Need some advice please......

Just had new double glazing installed and a composite door.

Noticed when they was installing a significant gap at the top where the frame was quite short for the aperture. Is this normal and acceptable?

In addition the door when closed and locked can be pushed backward and forwards to make a rattle, guessing this isn’t normal either? I didn’t go with the traditional pad handle but with a long bar as a handle so there is no lock to engage it’s just a push shut door.

Feedback would be much appreciated so I know if to go and moan or not.

That gap is far from acceptable you wouldn't want that even on a garden shed. When you say the door rattles do you mean just the door or does the whole frame rattle from the wall.
I assume you have a guarantee. Have you had windows fitted at the same time? If so then I would have the whole lot independently checked by trading standards as there are many regulations involved with replacement windows and doors.
