Fitting Easy Clean Simplex Hinges to Sash Windows

Hi all,
I want to fit the easy clean system (simplex ) 2 hinges to our large wooden sash windows so we can open them like casement windows for cleaning. The lower sashes are 106cm W x 125cm L and they have 2 panes separated by a central glazing bar. I know there are guidelines for positioning hinges on doors but i'm wondering what the best position to mount the hinges is to equalise stress on the hinges and the panes of glass that I notice seem very thin (single glazed).
I have supported one of these sashes before and they're pretty heavy, but probably not as heavy as a fairly standard internal door but hard to estimate..
Thanks for the advice.
