Double Glazing Perfect fit Blind Problems

by Leonjpenwill » Tue Nov 06, 2018 10:50 pm

Hi all,

First post here so please go easy on me!

I’ve got new roller blinds to all of my downstairs windows, which look great, however I have 2 issues:

1. I had to remove the vent twist thing at the top as the blinds didn’t have enough clearance.
2. (And this one is something I really should have foreseen!) the door handles no longer open due to where the frame sits for the blinds!

I’ve uploaded a few pictures to try and show what I mean with both of these. [edit] on second thoughts, I tried but the photos were too large.

I’m trying to find out:

1. Is there something I can do to make the naked vent area look nicer? A thin meshing maybe for example? Any ideas welcome!
2. Is it possible to raise the handles up? As I quite like the handles we have already. Or alternatively, is it possible to find different handles which would have a larger clearance to the window itself?

Thanks ahead of any replies!
