Gap at top of doors center post

Hiya,
I've been searching the internet everywhere and somehow I can't find any info about patio door center posts or the parts that I might be missing. I'm usually pretty good with googling any info I need but I just can't seem to make any progress at all with this.
The centrepost, if that's what it's called, is missing a part at the top and there's basically a hole leaking a serious draft into our living room. I have included a couple of pictures to show the problem. If anyone can advise me on what is missing, and how to get this fixed, it would be much appreciated.
