Advice on privacy films on windows

by markusb » Mon Oct 24, 2022 12:09 pm

Ideally want a one-way mirror that does not significantly reduce amount of light admitted. From a few years back my impression was that these privacy films were always removed after some time as they made room too dark. I now have to replace my windows and so wanted to hear if there's been any advances? Night-time (I will have blinds closed and so not an issue when room lights are on.)

As I'll be replacing the windows I could go for an entirely new window with those electronic privacy controls but no idea of their effectiveness or price.

Does anyone have any recent experience?
