Composite door adjustment for poorly installed door

I’ve got a composite door which has been poorly installed. The door must have dropped a bit because the latch is not hitting the strike plate so now the door will not remain closed. The strike plate has been installed too high in relation to the latch.

Is there a way to lift the door? As you can see from the pictures, the door could do with quite a bit of adjustment. The only adjustment I’ve been able to find is the Allen key adjustment in the centre of the hinge, that adjusts the door to the left and right (as you look at the door when closed). The Allen key above and below don’t appear to do anything, many just continuously spin either way.

If there isn’t a way to adjust the door upwards, the only other option I can think of is to move the strike plate down 5mm or so.

I’ve removed the strike plate as that’s the only way to close the door without someone being able to push it open.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Hi doesitmatter,
You should find plastic caps top and bottom of the hinge pins, this should give you access to Allen bolts which if you slacken the top one and tighten the lower one, will adjust the door. Work progressively on the three hinges.

Hi stoneyboy,

Thank you for your response. I've attached some pictures of the hinges. I've tried removing the top with a knife and a flat head screwdriver, but the caps don't appear to want to come off.

Any idea how best to remove them, or whether I have a different type of hinge?

Hi doesitmatter,
Sorry that doesn't look too hopeful - do the caps unscrew?
What is behind the quadrant finisher? looks like it is part of the hinge.
