Hi daveoakley,
If you look carefully at the gap around the frame you can see the inner brick wall, a vertical DPC and the the bricks of the outer wall. If nothing is done to isolate the outer brickwork and the gap is plastered, the plaster will draw moisture in from the outer bricks. You will have to seal the DPC to the frame, possibly with silicone frame sealant before making good the plaster surround.
