Moving UPVC windows

Hi,

I have an extension project which involves moving a number of UPVC windows. It is essential that the windows are removed without damage as they are getting re-used. I would also like to minimise the damage to the brickwork if possible.

What would be the best method of doing this?

Thanks

the easy way to move your units is,first remove all glazing bars.then take out the double glazed unit, then run a stanley knife round the edge of the frame to get the sealant mastic of,locate all screws and remove.finally remove the frame, you should'nt get any damage.

Hi doodle bug.

What are "Galzing bars", and how do you remove them? And of coarse, how do you replace them once glazed unit is replaced?

Gary.

Gazing bars are the beads that hold the glass units in place.

See you're other post for how to remove and replace them.
