Uotside wall insulation..??? Information, help, tips and advice on cavity walls, ceilings and lofts etc....

I live in a semi.The end one, it is very exposed to the elements.The walls do not have cavities, so I cannot have cavity insulation.
It was originally pebble dashed,roughly 20 years ago, but the pebbles are very patchy now.
Even with the central heating on the house is always cold.
Is there any other way to insulate the gable end.....???

There are types of insulation that can be fixed to the outside of a wall and then rendered over. Infact if you are repairing more than 25% of the external render to a wall such as yours you now need to apply for building regs approval and increase the insulation to your walls

you can insulate the internal wall.
By fixing 2x1 battens to the wall and using 25mm polystyrene or sprayfoam inbetween.Plasterboarding over and skimming.
Problem is loosing 40mm from your internal room size,refitting sockets and window cill,but probably a better job ,than insulating the wall externally and cheaper.
