Insulating/ dry lining cold walls in bedroom Information, help, tips and advice on cavity walls, ceilings and lofts etc....

We need to know the best option for dealing with cold walls in a north facing bedroom which accumulates condensation and consequently mould also. Our house is 1930's solid wall construction so no cavity.
We have started to use a dehumidifyer which is helping with the moisture.
How can we insulate the walls? Can we dry line without losing too much space?

Unless you include a ventilated gap behind any dry lining your condensation problems will get worse. 25mm gap 50mm foam backed plasterboard - you're going to loose 75mm.
