Insulating single brick walls.

I have a 2 bedroom semi detached house that has a single brick extension/utility room. At the minute it's used as a utility/store room, with the washing machine, tumble dryer and all sorts of other stuff that never gets used in there!
I want to convert it into a 3rd bedroom and was wandering how to insulate the walls and roof as it's only single brick. I'm not sure what the roof is, it's flat and has a felt outer covering.
It measures approx 8' high, 15' wide, 25' long. (The house is rented out and I live in a differant area, hence approx dimensions)
Any advice would be greatful please.
Thanks.
