Cold air circulation

by trimmingpaul » Fri May 27, 2011 9:19 pm

Hi I have an old house built in 1895 which has no cavity walls. I have a constant cold air draft coming down my stairs both with the heating on and off and it's driving me mad!
I have had my loft professionaly lagged and all my windows and doors have been replaced with double glazed units.
I Have no air bricks or any other openings in the exterior walls.
Please help!

trimmingpaul,
It's a fact of life that hot air rises so cold air will come down the stairs to replace it. Try fitting a thick curtain or door at the bottom of the stairs.
end
