Hi,
We are in the process of getting a very ugly flint wall clad. whilst cladding it would be nice to add some additional insulation to the house.

Can we add 25mm of celatex behind the cladding?
Will this have any effect at all to insulating the house?

Is it a simple case of cut the boards to fit between the battens then cladd over it?

The company that is fitting the cladding seem good and we are definitley using them to fit the cladding BUT they want to charge us £1,000 to supply and fit approx 40m2 of celatex at a thickness of 25mm, is it worth doing?

Thanks

Alex
