Anyone Sprayed Open Cell Foam Behind Plasterboard?

Hi there
We have solid walls, plasterboard and battons, and seems uber painful to remove all that to replace with 65mm cellotex type stuff and board fixed to it, or worse still lose room size and put board on top.
I have seen a few of the videos, they seem mainly from USA, of making c40mm holes in the internal plasterboard, spraying the foam, and tick - but I'd like to hear of any 'what went wrong stories'.. as tbh I cant really see much commentary on this forum or anywhere on topic...
I am guessing any holes in the electric boxes from behind might let in spray foam so would need to check them in advance and block any holes to avoid that... anything else?
:)
