Insulating redundant chimney with old loft insulation

Hi thanks for any advice in advance. I have had the chimney removed when I had roof replaced. Its a bungalow so the stack have been removed down to the loft floor level. I have been air sealing the loft floor and replacing and renewing the insulation. I have several bags of old fiberglass insulation. Was wondering if I could use some of this to put in the chimney. I can see the bottom of chimney on one side about 10ft deep. the other side have been opened up and is now an airing cupboard. and is sealed at the top so is about 4 feet deep. To be clear the chimney splits into 2 at loft floor level.
