Insulating semi-detached house floor from below

Hello, I have looking to insulate the ground floor of my semi-detached house, where I have a basement with sufficient room to crawl under.

I was looking at the possibility of adding insulation from below, as I do not want to rip up the floorboards, however I run into the issue of not being able to install a VCL properly then.

I was also planning on laying 9mm ply/OSB over the current floorboards prior to install luxury vinyl planks, to ensure flat surface throughout. Could it be an option to install a VCL between the floorboards and ply? What other options do I have?

Hi zakoro,
Suggest you use fibreglass quilt or mats slightly thicker than joist depth and hold this in place using strong cord zigzagged over the bottom of the joists. No vcl needed.
