Cuttung Marble

I have some inch thick marble worktops I am keeping but I need to cut them whats the best way, ??? i have a 9inch disc cutter, will a diamond blade do the job?

A wet saw is what you want ideally.A petrol stihl saw with a diamond blade and hose attachment,You can hire 1 from a local hire shop

Hi and thanks for the reply, I did manage to cut it even surprised myself, I used my 9'' disc cutter with stone disc, it took me 35mins each cut normal worktop, 2ft wide and an inch thick, the disc cost 78p each and it took 2 disc for each cut, then I polished the edgs with a band sander, all in all I done 5cuts, so now have genuine marble worktops in my kitchen for about a tenner
