I am renovating my house and am starting on the bathroom. After removing the old tiles, alot of old render/plaster has come away, revealing some bare brickwork. Most of the old surface (about 3/4" thick) is good but there are some bits around the wetter areas where is has just fallen off. Obviously I need a good flat surface to tile onto but I'm not sure how to do this. I normally just use a bit of bonding for little bits but I think these areas are a bit big. I was thinking of rendering it but not sure if this is the best way and not sure of the mix. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Cheeers, Richard.

if alot of the render has come away your better taking the lot off than patching,You can then dryline the wall and plaster.Its going to be a lot easier

Cheers mate, would I have to plaster over the plasterboard or can I tile directly to it?

I prefer to plaster first.Then tile
