Stone Staircase Victorian Cottage Holes Drilled - How to Cover These Holes?

by bluepig15 » Thu Jul 03, 2014 5:13 pm

Hello! We've been living in our 1850 cottage for a while and just lifted up the worn stairs carpet to reveal lovely stone steps. EXCEPT the previous owners had drilled holes in the steps for rawlplugs and then nailed in carpet gripper rods. Any suggestions on what to do about the holes? We don't want to put carpet back. Thanks.

you could fill them with a grey tile grout, try a bit and see if it dries the same colour
