i urgently need to repoint the stone around my windows and corners of my house. but i havent a clue on the mortar to use. i was instructed not to use cement as the corrosive lime would destroy the stone.

so what exactly do i use? i couldnt see any mention of this in the projects?

Cement will not destroy stone but what it will do is stop any moisture trapped in the stonework from evaporating out. Stonework is best pointed with a lime mix and you can buy bags of ready mixed lime mortar from builders merchants.
