Hi,

I've got a small curved garden wall that forms the boundary to a raised flower bed. The wall has been build with landscaping bricks with random relief. I want the wall to be smooth so I am in the process of rendering it.

My question is how do I achieve a true 90 degree arris/edge of the top and front edge of the wall? If the wall was straight I guess I would simply use a corner bead but since the wall is both convex and concave I'm not aware on any corner beading products that are designed to bend.

YOU COULD TRY NOTCHING OUT THE TOP MESH TO ALLOW IT TO BE BENT INTO THE CURVES YOU REQUIRE.

THIS WILL WORK IF CURVES ARE LONG AND GENTLE BUT IF SHORT AND TIGHT THEN YOU MAY FIND THAT THE BEAD IS EASILY KINKED.

use a sheet of ply or similar and lay it across the top. pack it out to get the level that you require. render to it, using the ply to give you a neat crease. wait til its gone off then do the top, working to the edge that you have already formed.

only problem is that the edge may be prone to damage by chipping etc. at least with beading the edge is more resilient. other than that and the ideas already suggested i am at a loss.
