Plasterboard join cracks

I am living in a flat that has plasterboard on most of the internal walls. It appears that these walls have not been skimmed over and where the plasterboard sheets join, there are cracks running the vertical length. If I affix tape across the cracks, the tape will be visible and obviously plain old filler just cracks again. Can you please tell me the best way to repair these cracks. :(

Would appreciate your help on this

There is no surface way that will work. The joints have to be remade using tape and then skimmed.
