Please help lady in need-crack in paint on plastered ceiling

by Gitta » Sat Oct 18, 2008 9:38 pm

How can I easily fix a crack in the painted ceiling?

Moved into a house from 1965 and we are redecorating all rooms We stripped the wall paper of the living rooms' celing. We made good and painted (seemed to be plasterboards) - didn't want to put wallpaper up (was hard enough to learn how to put it up on the walls). After a coat of paint it cracked. Made the crack bigger and filled it and painted a few layers. But now it has cracked right across the ceiling again...

Can we use plasterboard joint tape now, even though it is painted?
How can we fix it?

I really appreciate any tips!!!!
Thank you![/b]
