Hi there,

I recently had a new kitchen fitted in my house it is a 1950's 3 Bed Semi. Since then we have decided to remove the wall paper and to spruce up the walls and when taking the wall paper off the plaster behind it is coming off. My question is, do I need to remove all plaster that is there or can I get a plasterer to just redo the whole walls over the damaged parts?

Hi,
depends how bad the plaster is, you can plaster patch but it is pointless if the surface you are work on is going to crumble away. If you decide one day to tile over it the weight of the tiles may cause the plaster to pull off and the tile will too.
