Boarding over boards

Hi,
Have removed tiles from bathroom and plasterboards now in pretty bad shape. Type in question is the honeycomb type of dry lining which now has a few holes in it!
Would it be okay to put a new plasterboard over this and if so what is best way to attach it to the honeycomb board?
Intention is to then tile over.
Was thinking of using normal plasterboard fixings to attache the two together?

the wall in question is called paramount,900mm wide boards.buy some drywall adhesive, mix it up nice and creamy but not to thick(double cream).apply to the paramount wall with a hand brush or trowle.across top and bottom,3-4 rows vertical.put the new board onto this and fix top and bottom with screws(there will be a top and base timber there).this method is called laminating.
