Shortly to start plasterbording a new build. I've done couple of rooms before but never a new ceiling. Is there any need to put battens (to secure the boards to) between the trusses and at right angles to them?
Trusses are standard distance apart. Thanks for any replies.

I would put noggins every 600mm centres this would suit most standard plaster boards and reduce sagging of board and a joist to screw to on end of cut board joint.
If your using 8x4 of top of my head they measure 2440mm on length, would be good ideal to plan for that measurement so you can use full boards with no cuts, that will save time and waste. But check this size first!
Remember staggered joints and 12mm rather than 9.5mm boards for ceilngs.
