Boards that can handle rain?

Just finished a week long plastering course and forgot to ask if there's any type of boarding I can use (cement or water.res gypsum) to board over a wall outside?
I'm in the UK and the garden wall is a mess. Got lots to do, so rendering it all would take forever - and my arm is already saw after that week.
Is there a board suitable for going on pressure treated battens or dot and dab that can handle rain? What about a skim to go over that?
What should I know about the edges, wicking of moisture from the ground, rain making it's way down the back, moisture under the sides and such?
Thanks!
