Paramount Wall

Hi,

I am about to remove a large portion of a Paramount Wall on the ground floor of a 1996 new build.

The wall continues above, again paramount. First floor joists run parallel to the wall. I am aware that paramount walls give little/no structural support, however, the wall on the first floor is not sitting on a joist.

My question is " is the lower wall giving support to the wall above?"

Many thanks

PARAMOUNT ARE NON LOAD BEARING WALL,AND THE WALL ON THE FIRST FLOOR DOSE NOT HAVE TO SIT ON A JOIST.STAIGHT TO THE CHIPBOARD FLOORING WAS HOW IT WAS DONE.
