Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could help me?
I have just moved and the property has been converted to a 3 bed from a 2 bed. The added dividing wall between the the 2 new bedrooms is made from 4mm fibreboard and in a bit of a state. the stud work underneath is sound. I am looking to replace one of the boards but i have a few questions,
1- Is the fibreboard an adequate wall covering?
2- Is the fibreboard firesafe for a wall in a bedroom?
3- Should i replace the wall and recover with plasterboard?

Any help would be much appriciated
Thank You
Dave

I cannot see how fibreboard is suitable for this task unless it was just a cheap option. If nothing else how on earth do you decorate it properly?

If it were me I'd have the fibreboard off, replace with plasterboard and have it skimmed.

Cheers
