Plasterboard Small Area

Hi,
For my technology design project, I need to make a small plasterboard unit to fit a light switch fitting to, along with a downlight/similar and also full capability of wiring for sampling purposes.
The particular area will beneficially house the electrics of the circuit and its wiring and as a result will be more of a prism with an overhanging light appearing like an upside-down 'L' (see side-view below)
╔ << But Larger (represents general shape)
‾
The unit itself will be attached to a sturdy wooden base. After construction, the light fitting and switch will be attached to the plasterboard wall that has been similated through the general shape.
If anyone knows the best possible way I could construct the plasterboard unit, please let me know.
Cheers[/img]
