Making a mould to repair coving would involve removing some more of the coving to use to make the mould as ( unless you want to carve the mould) you need to cast it in a rubber/latex. Such a material is Vinamould which can be reused after moulding anything. Most craft shops will be able to help you with this. The coving itself can be poured plaster of paris if the section is not large. There are no kits for coving as its usually pressed not cast.
