Hi all

just bought a house and the ceiling has been suspended on metal rails from old timbers. It has then been plasterboarded but the end joints not staggered hence cracks across the roof every 2400. any ideas on how to stop them without ripping sections out and re-boarding? thanks

nigelivey,
Try taping the joins and re-plastering, if this doesn't work overboard the existing and replaster.

as stoneboy says, but I would cut the joints out first, fill them, then scrim and re-plaster
