Asbestos in plaster??

Hi guys,
I'm currently converting my garage into a gym but I'm slightly concerned about the presence of asbestos. The garage was previously a house I would say probably pre-1900 and there are patches of plaster that is covering brickwork. It's in really bad condition and even touching it would cause it crumble. To add to this, there is virtually no ventilation. Is it possible there is asbestos in the plaster? what about in crumbling cement?
Thanks

no there is no asbestos in the plaster, the mix would have been lime and sand mixed with horse hair as a binding agent. But wear a particle mask anyway when removing the plaster.
