Using MDF instead of plasterboard

I'm going to be lining the walls and putting up new partition walls in a shop unit. As there's going to be customers coming and going I was considering using MDF instead of plasterboard for the walls to make it a bit tougher, is this the right thing to do?

Also, I've read the article on painting MDF but was wondering what I need to do to prepare MDF walls for wallpaper and tiling?

MDF or Plasterboard...?

Personally I wouldn't use MDF as this to me seems like a very expensive way to build a wall. I would also give alot of thought to the weight issue,
MDF weighs a ton.
If you are determined to use MDf then you can just prime the boards with a pva solution prior tom tiling, but dont paper them as you will always see the joins in the boards through the wallpaper.
I would stick to plasterboard walls.
