Cracking skimmed plaster without PVA

I recently had my walls skimmed in my house and at the time took the advice NOT to use a pva on the wall. Instead I use a contract paint directly on the walls once the plaster had dried, then painted with a standard emulsion on top.

It's now been a few months and the walls are really starting to crack up, and my question is how can I fix this and stop it from cracking any more? I have a flexi paint will that work?

Many thanks in advance for you help.

Bob

Bob DIY,
Either the plastering is defective - is it the paint or the plaster which is cracking,
or if it is the paint layer you did not thin down the first coat sufficiently.

Bob DIY,
Unless you have been playing a fan heater on the wall then the plastering is defective.
Get the plasterer back.
