Hi,
While removing a rawl plug from a wall a little too much of the plaster around it came away with it, how am I best to go about fixing this?

Remove all the loose plaster from the area first.
Then you have options on how best to repair, but as the area is only same, likely best thing to do would be to use a filler and sand when dry.
You could plaster patch with a bit of multi or one coat, if you really wanted. it would best to prime the area first before plaster patching.

Filler and sanding has done the job thanks.
Now got the job of trying to match the paint!
