Filling Hole for Re-Drilling and Attaching Bathroom Cabinet

Hi,
What is the best method/product for filling a hole in plasterboard which needs to be redrilled/screwed to reattach a bathroom cabinet.
I have used some standard polyfilla but it was not strong enough/still wet after 24hrs using a Grip IT self screw so would like to know should I use some Gyproc Easy Fill 20min or Thistle finishing plaster? What will fill the hole and be strong enough to re-screw a plasterboard screw fixing. The hole is approx 1-2cm wide and 1-3cm deep.
Many thanks, Ian
