Tutorial on how to Make Recess With Strip Lights for Living Room

Hi,
I am a complete newbie and am looking to create a Recess with strip lighting and spotlights in my house, Like the picture attached.
I have surfed the web trying to find tutorials vids but am unable to find anything. I have been search for how to build recessed ceiling for spotlights, wonder if I am searching for the complete wrong thing.
As you can tell I am a newbie to the Diy seen as this is for my first property so looking for as much advice as possible.
