Plasterboard Door into Conservatory

I have a conservatory attached to the rear of the house, the door I want to cover up is an outside door type however it goes from the utility to the conservatory as the conservatory was added a few years after the house was built.
My idea is to build a stud frame in the front and behind the door then affix some 27mm Laminate Plus Insulated Plasterboard leaving the door in and locked with some extra insulation behind the plasterboard. plaster and paint it up (both sides).
Is this a relatively stupid idea or are there any changes / better ways of doing this ?
