plastering over two parts of misaligned wall

hello,
i'm looking to plaster an internal wall using thistle drywall. i'm looking for a "rustic" finish so am comfortable that even with no plastering experience i can get the job finished to some level!
i'm looking to cover a wall shared by a ground and first floor rooms. on the wall where one floor "meets" the other the wall is misaligned leading to a 0 to 6cm "ledge" that i have inexpertly bridged with filler and scrim tape.
given that i'm ok with a bumpy finish could anyone say if the plaster will take and hold ok over this area? any advice would be very welcome! thank you!
