How long for plaster to fully dry before painting

by millsy5 » Mon Nov 04, 2024 11:10 am

Apologies if posted in the wrong sub forum. I got a boundary wall built a few months ago. I got a plasterer to plaster it. He scratched it a few weeks ago, and put on the final coat yesterday. He used the ready made stuff that you just mix with water.

I'm looking to paint it. Wondering how long I need to wait for the plaster to fully dry before I can start painting? I presume the weather will play a factor in the timing, but an estimate would suffice.

As you said it depends on the weather where you are, since I am not there I do not know what the conditions are, the longer you leave it the better it will be.
