Drylining over an old plastered wall

Hi everyone i am about to dry line over an old pre tiled wall that has a fair bit of the old tile adhesive in ridges which i am told will help with adhesion.
I am told that i will need 2 - 3 coats of pva then use dry wall adhesive in dabs on the back of the boards, i am also told that if i use a cove adhesive this will help the boards stick quicker.
After the boards have taken i am going to 2 coat skim over the boards.

Can someone please let me know if all the above sounds correct?

Many thanks

Hi homesolutions,
Thats more or less spot on, you'll find some do it a little different. I'd personally put one coat PVA on wall and a little bit in with wall adhesive. Wouldn't bother with coving adheshive.
But that's me!
Good Luck, you've being talking to the right people.
