coving cutting 45 o (degree) internal angles

how do you cut 45 o angles on coving? iv seemed to get hang of 90 o internal and external cuts, but this has got me stuck. please help

Sorry don't have an answer but I suggest you log this query under carpentry/joinery as a joiner will best give you the answer you need rather than a plasterer. This is the sort of problem many joiners will have come across only in wood so the same principles will apply.

never cut 45o angles for coving but have for skirting -

like 2 - 45o cuts = 90o
2 - 22.5o cuts = 45o

can't see why it wouldn't work with coving too.

See also the project on coving. Cutting coving angles is slightly different because the coving has to be the same way up for all cuts.
