How best to fix plaster board under a stairs with winders?

by Chrish51 » Wed Apr 18, 2007 11:51 am

I've had a new hard wood staircase fitted in an extension wer're building. My wife now sees the under stair area as a good place for the dog bed and does not want it boxed in. As the stairs have a series of winders ( square spiral in effect) any ideas as to the best way to fix plaster board? The stairs were not built to be exposed and therefore the underside does need hiding.

Build a timber frame first and fix it to the stairs Chris, then plasterboard to that. See our projects on timber joints to help with the frame.
