Protecting the rest of the house from plaster dust

Having some work done - does anyone have a recommendation to cover the door frames and doors to stop the dust getting ni the rest of the house, please?

Dust sheets should do the trick.....if you dont have any old sheets you can use then you can buy plastic/ fabric ones from most DIY sheds. Hope this helps...dust does get everywhere. Depending on the extent/type of the work and where it is in your house spraying a water spray ( like the type use for house plants ) on a fine mist setting helps keep the dust down. But doubt you will get a builder to spray a water spray every few minutes!! hope this helps.

a bit late, but i lay polythene shet over the floors, with a cloth sheet over and seal all door ways where possible with polythene dust sheet and tape. Mess is therefore contained and clearing up at the end of the day is easier.You will still be dusting for about three weks after, but it wil only be very fine and will clear :)

close the doors then tape them shut all the way round where the door meets the frame with masking tape. complete dustproof.
