:?
My loo is separate to the showerroom and does not have a sink. So, I was hoping to fit a hand basin and connect the waste pipe to the toilet waste. Is this possible? If so, any top tips would be welcome.

Thank you

Karen,
Yes, you can....... here's the 'but'.
You will have to remove the w/c and fit a new pan connector with a 'boss' of the appropriate size on it. This is a modified pan connector with a small connector on top of the bend that allows this type of connection.

Have a look at the above address and you should see what I mean.
I hope that helps.

Thank you Terry.
I am sure that disconnecting a loo in a tenement building will be a 'fun' experience... I will be sure to get my boyfriend involved in the work!

Bobplum,
That sounds like a good idea and saves all that messing about. I guess a boss would fit just as well to a 4" pan connector as it would to a 4" soil pipe.
Nice one!

Whatever you do make sure you fit an anti-syphon trap!

Thank you for your help.
I have looked into both options and have looked closely at the soil pipe and the space surrounding it and I think that there isn't enough room for the strap on boss so will do the other option. Thank you very much for the guidance.
