Flushing central heating

Hi! I've done as much homework as I can (spoke to various plumbers etc)
and I'm going to try and powerflush my central heating system after hireing a Nordstrom(?) from HSS Hire.
In a nutshell I was going to remove a radiator, connect the powerflush open all valves. Disconnect the supply to the boiler's pump and flush.
My boiler is a woschester bosh 24cdi combi.
I thought i better check with woscester if it was ok to do this and they told me that I must not flush the system with the boiler connected as it will damage it.
So I'm back to square one...but why did none of the plumbers I asked tell me this important fact?
thanks for your attention
